  • Professional hair care products purchased at Shortino’s are guaranteed and can be returned for an exchange or refund within fourteen (14) days of the original date of purchase. Some products must be returned by you directly to the manufacturer (such as flat irons) The following products are final sale: makeup, cosmetics, nail polish videos, jewelry, purses, pocketbooks, bags, fur, hair accessories, hair jewelry, makeup brushes, compact mirrors, sunglasses, etc. In order to return any Guinot products, we must obtain your name, address, phone number and reason for the return, as this is required of us from Guinot.
  • For your comfort and well-being, smoking is not permitted in the salon or spa.
  • All salon and spa services are guaranteed to meet your expectations, if at any time you are not completely pleased with the service you have received, we must be notified within seven (7) days of the original service date. We will then correct this service at no charge. You will be rescheduled for the service you received as quickly as possible with the stylist or technician who originally serviced you whenever possible.
  • All prices and policies are subject to change at any time without any previous notification.
  • Gift certificates must be present for redemption.
  • Gift cards are final sale.
  • All services are a la carte unless otherwise stated.
  • Make-up is final sale.
  • Many of our clients ask us about gratuities. Gratuities are not included in any salon or spa services. Standard gratuities range from ten to twenty percent when our clients are thoroughly satisfied with their experience at Shortino’s.
  • To maintain our relaxing and peaceful spa environment, the spa facility is reserved for adults. No children under the age of eighteen (18) are permitted in the spa unless they are receiving services.
  • If you are a return guest to our spa, please check in with the front desk and go up to the relaxation room in the spa. Your technician will look for you there. And feel free to arrive at your spa appointments a bit early so that you may go to the relaxation room and begin to de-stress. You can change into a robe and slippers, enjoy a hot or cold beverage and relax until your technician lets you know your service is about to begin.
  • We request 24 hours notice of cancellation for all gift card holders. If less than 24 hours notice given for any changes or cancellations, we reserve the right to reduce the value of, or void, the gift card.
  • A small percentage of individuals can experience adverse reactions to products such as hair colour, skin care and body products, even if they have not had reactions in the past with repeated applications. Complementary patch tests are available to determine whether or not adverse reactions will occur. Such patch tests must be given 48 hours (2 days) prior to your appointment. If you choose to fore go these patch tests, you will be asked to sign a waiver, thereby holding harmless Shortino’s Salon & Spa, it’s owners and employees from any liability arising from such product application.
  • The private personal information which you provide to us is just that, private. Your information is not sold, shared or disclosed with anyone, including our salon and spa team.
  • Robes are provided to you to protect your clothing from colours and chemicals. Shortino’s is not responsible for any damage done to your clothing or accessories if you choose not to wear a protective robe.
  • Corporate and bridal packages are always available for you convenience. Our spa coordinators will work with you to customize a package or plan perfectly suited for your needs.
  • Our facilities are available for private events.
  • To reserve any salon or spa service valued at $50 or more, a credit card is required.
  • You are an individual, as is your hair, skin, nails, etc. Please understand that additional charges may apply when necessary to accommodate long hair, thick hair, extra time requirements, etc.
  • Salons are not safe places for babies and children. Please, for your peace of mind and their safety, we ask you not to bring children to the salon unless they are scheduled for a service or accompanied by another adult.
  • Our scheduling is designed to permit enough time to complete your salon and spa services. Please help us by being prompt so that no one will have to wait for their services. We understand that occasionally being late is unavoidable and do our best to accommodate every client, however, there may be times when we are forced to shorten or reschedule an appointment.
  • Please keep in mind that our stylist and technicians may also occasionally run late. We ask for your understanding in these situations, knowing we will do our best to service you in a timely manner.
  • For maximum availability, we recommend that you schedule your next service prior to leaving the salon or spa.
  • Please feel free to indulge in the services of a different stylist or technician each time you visit. You may feel more comfortable with someone else or simply want a fresh idea. It can be very helpful to be comfortable with several stylist or technicians because there may be times when someone is unavailable due to vacation, maternity leave or a full schedule. We are a team of professionals and are pleased when clients work with all of our staff. While they all have unique styles, our staff undergoes similar training methods, techniques and ongoing education, so you always know your stylist or technician will provide you with the utmost quality in service. We would all be delighted to service you.
  • We provide confirmation calls to our clients the day before (or business day before) your scheduled appointments whenever possible. We provide this service tour clients as a courtesy, but please do not rely solely on these calls to remember your appointment. try to understand sometimes we are unable to reach you, or unable to make the calls due to circumstances beyond our control.
  • We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, personal checks (with a valid driver’s license) and cash.
  • Our salon and spa hours of operation are: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Our hours of operations are subject to change at any time.
  • We require 24 hours notice of cancellation for all salon and spa services. If you show a history of changing or canceling appointments without providing 24 hours notice, a credit card number will be required to reserve any salon or spa service. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 50% of the value of your service. No shows will be charged 100% of the service value.
  • Our team of hair professionals offer different levels of pricing. Fees may vary according to services and level of stylist, which is determined by their level of education and level of experience.
